Just as my ears finally stopped ringing from the last Motorhead concert, guess who comes to town.
As always, Motorhead crowds are a marvellous mix of leather, tattoos, piercings and a plethora of heavy metal t-shirts - ACDC, Iron Maiden, Saxon, Rancid, etc.
Waited ages in the cold for clarification regarding my press pass, it was too much of an intellectual leap for the girl to accept that Tim Pope = Tim Holt.
Thank God for Nick Moore who sorted this out. Bumped into the boys from Rancid whilst outside, and out of respect didn't photograph them. Has an amusing chat with lead singer Tim "Lint" Armstrong.
Pit was crowded, lighting was diabolical, but show was great. Difficult to recover images afterwards. Better pics on the other page from their concert at the Hammersmith Apollo in June at link below.
