Wembley Pavilion is not my favourite venue –
the stage is 8 feet high so one has to use a long lens and look up the performers noses. In this case that was
academic since they wanted us to shoot from the mixing desk 100 metres from the stage. After a bit of negotiation
they let us shoot from the disabled section to the right of the stage – still a fair distance away. Why,
when they haven’t had a hit for umpteen years they didn’t want decent press images I don’t know.
